Psalm 27:14 Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.
Waiting can be challenging to say the least. It’s hard to be patient. Instead, we tend to forge ahead and bypass all the signs that tell us to remain still. Isaiah 40:31 tells us, “Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”
We are all waiting on the Lord for a variety of reasons. Some may be waiting on Him to open the doors to a new job opportunity, provision, a financial breakthrough, a home purchase while others are trusting the Lord for healing, salvation for their loved ones, comfort, peace, or possibly a godly mate. These are just to name a few. You may be in a different season of waiting. Whatever it is you are seeking the Lord for, I encourage you to prayerfully take your request(s) to Him and lay it at His feet. Ask Him to impart His wisdom and guide you in regards to your request(s). It’s very important that we are aligning ourselves to His perfect will for our lives. Oftentimes, we want God to say “Yes” and affirm all our requests, but that’s not always the case. Sometimes the Lord says “No” or “Wait”. This isn’t because He doesn’t love us or wants to bless us. He says “No” because He does love us and He knows that particular prayer request will bring more harm than good. He has foreknowledge of the future and sees the end from the beginning. So when the Lord says “No” or “Wait”, do not become angry or upset. Please know that He’s protecting you and He has something far better in store. He promises to give you His very best in His perfect timing.
There have been times in my life where the Lord said “No”, but only to open the doors to greater and abundant blessings. The Father knows best and He gives incredibly amazing gifts to His kids.
James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
Ladies, I encourage you to wait on the Lord and trust Him for the road ahead. The Lord will answer all your prayer requests according to His perfect will for your lives. The answer may be “Yes”, “No”, or “Wait”! Whatever answer He gives, my prayer is that your hearts will be open and receptive to it. Please trust and believe in Him even if you don’t agree with His answer. The Lord is protecting you and He knows what’s best for each of us. When He says “Yes”, rejoice and don’t forget to give Him the glory. When He says “No”, rejoice and believe that He has a better plan which will bless you abundantly in the end. When He says “Wait”, rejoice, be still, and trust His perfect timing. He’s never late nor early, but right on time. Wait on the Lord!
Psalm 37:7a Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for Him to act.
