John 16:13-14 “However, when He, the Spirit of Truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.
He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is mine and declare it to you.”
Have you ever thought about what direction or what road you should take? Or what are the true facts of a certain situation? Or what is the true character of a person? These are valid questions in which we all have pondered at some point in our lives.
As believers, God has given each one of us His Spirit. He’s often referred to as the “Holy Spirit” or “The Spirit of Truth”. Other references include “Counselor” or “The Spirit of God”. He gives us His wisdom, discernment, and He empowers us to do God’s will. The Holy Spirit also sheds light on our circumstances and situations. He opens our eyes to see the truth of what’s really going on. I love the book of Ezekiel. God gave him visions and revealed to him things that were happening in the dark. Ezekiel 8:12-13 says, ‘Then he said to me, Son of man, have you seen what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the room of his idols? For they say, “The Lord does not see us, the Lord has forsaken the land.” And He said to me, “Turn again, and you will see greater abominations that they are doing”’. We have to remember that God sees everything. Nothing is hidden from His sight. He’s all knowing!
Hebrews 4:13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and opened to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
If you are a true believer in Christ, He will reveal Himself to you and open your eyes to see things and people for who they truly are. The more I read His Word and pray, the more God’s Spirit ministers to my heart and reveals things to me. He’s a Truth Revealer! He doesn’t lie, but He speaks only the truth. People lie and deny the truth of their actions, but God never does. He always exposes the truth!
Numbers 23:19a “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent.”
Luke 8:17 “For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light.”
Ladies, I highly encourage you to seek the Lord and His wisdom for all your situations. His Spirit will guide you into all truth. Sometimes, we don’t like hearing the truth, but we have to remember that God loves us very much and He wants His very best for each one of us. Maybe, you are considering a career change, moving to a different state, purchasing a home, or marrying a man. Pray first, seek the Lord, and allow Him to guide you in your particular situation. Accept His answer and embrace His plan! He may have a different course for your life. The last thing you want is to be in the wrong workplace, move to the wrong city, buy the wrong house, and marry someone who is unfaithful. It may be God’s plan for you to remain at your current job, be a beacon of light in your neighborhood, and most definitely, marry a God-fearing man of the utmost integrity. As you diligently seek the Lord, His Spirit will reveal these things to you along with His amazing and perfect plan for your life. You can trust Him! He is the Spirit of Truth and He’s looking out for your best interest. When He says move forward, move forward with perseverance. When He says no, don’t proceed any further. Please realize He’s protecting you from harm that you may not necessarily see in the moment. When He sends warning signs or red flags about a person, don’t get involved with them nor entertain their company. Possibly, they will bring you down spiritually, morally, and be a distraction to God’s call on your life. They are not worth losing your integrity over or your ministry calling.
Trust the Lord dear sis! You will never be led astray by His Spirit of Truth! Do not rely on your own understanding, but rely on the Lord and believe that His Spirit is your Guiding Light.
