Matthew 19:26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Human logic can not comprehend the Lord’s plans nor understand His ways. From a personal perspective, I can’t wrap my mind around it either. As I face trials and deal with difficult situations, it’s hard for me to see things from an eternal perspective. I’ve often cried out to God, “Please have mercy on me and bring deliverance”.
Recently, my girlfriends and I spent the day in San Diego. While we were there, we all agreed to participate in an Escape Room. It’s a game where you are actually locked in a room for one hour. You and your party need to work together as a team as everyone searches for clues in order to escape or break out of the room. Sometimes we look at our trials from this viewpoint, “We want to escape them”. I know I have. But I have to constantly remind myself that God is with me and He will offer His protection, His grace, His strength to endure, His wisdom, and He will uphold me with His righteous right hand in the midst of my hardships. My trials serve a higher purpose. It may not make any sense in the moment, but all things are working for my good and for His glory (Romans 8:28). His plans are good and all of His ways are perfect.
Maybe you are facing an impossible situation right now and you can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. If so, stand firm my dear sister! Cling tightly to the Lord, look to Him for comfort, depend on His grace to sustain you, rely on His strength to persevere, and seek His wisdom. He is and will always remain Faithful! He will work everything out according to His perfect will for your life. It may not be what you expect, but remember that His ways are not our ways (Isaiah 55:8a). And the Lord’s plans for our lives are far greater than our own plans. Trust the Lord! He will never fail you! All things are possible with Him!
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (NIV)
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
Luke 1:37 For with God nothing will be impossible.
