Exodus 29:7 And you shall take the anointing oil, pour it on his head, and anoint him.

Over the past couple of months, I’ve heard messages about the importance of fresh oil. As believers, we should want, desire, and pray to the Lord for fresh oil: fresh oil to reflect His heart, fresh oil to live the lifestyle of Jesus, and fresh oil to be about our Father’s business.

Luke 2:49b “Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?”

Personally, I’ve been praying for the Lord to anoint me with fresh oil and for His Spirit to fall afresh upon me. I don’t want to dwell on 2019 and what happened in the past. This is a new year: 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣0️⃣! Instead, I want Him to continue to strengthen and empower me through His Spirit to move forward in the plans and purposes He has for me and fulfill my calling. Only by His grace!

Philippians 3:13-14 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

The Lord is Faithful and He will sustain each one of us. Ladies, it’s a new year and your desire should want to do more for God’s kingdom than what you did in 2019. In addition, you should also have a desire to be more like Jesus. Your heart should reflect His heart; your words should reflect His words; and your actions should reflect His actions. I encourage each of you to pray and ask the Lord to anoint you with fresh oil. Before doing so, first repent of your sins and ask for His forgiveness. If you and I want His anointing, we all need to have clean hearts and clean hands.

Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

We are God’s daughters and His favor is upon each one of us. We are the head and not the tail! He will clothe us with His lovingkindness and just as He anointed David, His servant, He will anoint each of us with His holy oil.

Psalm 89:20-24 I have found My servant David; with My holy oil I have anointed him, with whom My hand shall be established; also My arm shall strengthen him. The enemy shall not outwit him, nor the son of wickedness afflict him. I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague those who hate him. But My faithfulness and My mercy shall be with him, and in My name his horn shall be exalted.
