1 Corinthians 6:13b The body is not for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.
Sexual Immorality is considered the norm for today’s culture. Many people have sexual intercourse before marriage or they have participated in some form of sexual activity.
From a biblical standpoint, God’s Word commands believers not to participate in nor have sexual relations before marriage. Sex is God’s gift to a husband and wife within the boundaries of a marital relationship.
1 Corinthians 6:18-20 Flee from sexual immorality! “Every sin a person can commit is outside the body,” but the person who is sexually immoral sins against his own body. Do you not know that your body is a sanctuary of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body.
Hebrews 13:4 Marriage must be respected by all, and the marriage bed kept undefiled, because God will judge immoral people and adulterers.
Ladies, I encourage you to keep yourself sexually pure and remain celibate until you tie the knot or for a lack of better terms, until you get married. This can be challenging in today’s culture. But nothing will be impossible with God (Luke 1:37). Listen girls, I’m not professing to be an angel. I had sex in my prior relationships before my rededication to Christ. Once I committed my life back to the Lord, I prayed and asked for His forgiveness. With the Lord’s strength, I have overcome the need to have sex before marriage. He has given me His heart’s desire to remain celibate and keep myself sexually pure until the day I get married. My prayer is for the Lord to do the same transformation process for my future husband – for him to resist temptation and remain celibate until we get married. Our Lord is Faithful and He will do the same for you and yours. Trust in and rely on Him!
Isaiah 40:29, 31 He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. vs 31 But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.
Even if you had sexual intercourse before, today is a new day. It’s not to late to ask for God’s forgiveness. He will give you His strength and power to honor Him with your body. On a side note, ladies I encourage you to dress modest and/or conservative. Your style of dress reveals and says a lot about your character as a woman. When a man sees a woman showing cleavage, wearing see through apparel while sporting short skirts and dresses, there is only one thing on his mind if you follow me. A man is very visual and when you wear provocative clothing, all you are doing is arousing his sexual appetite. If I might add, you are setting him up as well as yourself to fall into sexual immorality. Ladies, I say this in love, but do not become angry or upset when all a man wants is sex from you because you’ve made the choice to wear provocative attire. What do you expect? If you want a man to respect you, then you need to respect yourself by wearing clothes that exhibit your Christian values and reflect your godly character in Christ. 1 Timothy 2:9a says, Also, the women are to dress themselves in modest clothing, with decency and good sense. Proverbs 31:30 Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord will be praised.
Ladies, my exhortation to all of you is to remain sexually pure and save yourself for your future husband until the day you guys get married. The Lord will bless and honor your marriage for your obedience to His Word.
Colossians 3:5 Therefore, put to death whatever in you is worldly: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desire, and greed, which is idolatry.
Psalm 147:11 The Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him, in those who hope in His mercy.
