2 Corinthians 6:18 “I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”

Growing up, I had a great dad! He wasn’t a believer, but he was a good man. My dad along with my mom did their best to raise me with good morals and integrity. One of my favorite childhood memories which also continued into my adulthood was our father-daughter dates to a famous hot dog stand in Hollywood, CA. I loved spending time with my dad. Although he was a no non-sense man, he genuinely loved me as his baby girl. He taught me the importance of family values, how to be responsible, how to be a hard worker, and how to be independent among other things. My dad was a good man! And I’m blessed to share that he gave his life to Christ a year prior to his passing in 2012. He’s with the Lord now and I will see him again. I have to admit, I was a little fearful of losing my dad, because he did so much for me and took great delight in caring for me as his daughter. At the time, my thoughts were, “Who is going to carry on the legacy of being a father figure while taking care of my needs?” The Lord graciously affirmed to me in those moments that He is my Heavenly Father and He will remain faithful to care for and love me better than my own dad because He is God! Paraphrasing: My Heavenly Father knows what I need before I need it (Matthew 6:32b).

Ladies, I encourage you all to look to our Heavenly Father first and foremost and praise Him for being faithful to you and loving you unconditionally. Thank Him for Who He is, for all that He’s done in your life, and for the work He will continue to do. 🙌🏽🙌🏽✨✨

Jeremiah 31:3 The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.”

Lastly and if you are able, honor the dads in your life whether the person is your father (biological or by adoption), your husband, your brother, your uncle, or a father-like figure. Honor them and tell them how much you love and appreciate them while wishing them a Happy Father’s Day!👨
