Hi Beautiful Ladies, 😘❤️
Happy August! It’s the eight month of the year. Did you know that the number 8 in biblical terms represents “a new beginning”? I love the Bible verse, Isaiah 43:19 which says “Behold, I will do something new, now it will spring forth; will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.” Maybe you are in a season of life where you feel helpless and void of hope. I encourage you to turn to God, cry out to Him, pray, and earnestly seek His face. You will find comfort, rest, assurance, peace, joy, and a renewed hope in Him. The Lord wants to give you a new beginning.
For our monthly prayer to be God’s Woman – one who is always Focused / Determined / Persevering / Never Giving Up, we will pray for only one quality this month due to the extent of information shared. 2️⃣1️⃣ is our monthly theme since it’s the year 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣1️⃣. You have the option to choose a time that works best for you. In order to stick with the 2️⃣1️⃣st theme, please choose a timeframe such as 7:2️⃣1️⃣am, 8:2️⃣1️⃣am, 10:2️⃣1️⃣am, 12:2️⃣1️⃣pm, 2:2️⃣1️⃣pm, 5:2️⃣1️⃣pm, 7:2️⃣1️⃣pm, 9:2️⃣1️⃣pm, and so forth. These are just examples. For the length of time, please allow the Holy Spirit to guide you as you pray to God and seek Him.
Today, we will pray for Quality #13:
Quality #13: Always remain focused and determined to diligently read and obey God’s Word!
James 1:22 (TPT) Don’t just listen to the Word of Truth and not respond to it, for that is the essence of self deception. So always let His Word become like poetry written and fulfilled by your life.
Ladies, I encourage you all to set quality time aside each day to read God’s Word. Whether it’s during the morning hours, in the afternoon, or at night, please spend time reading your bible. His Word brings nourishment to the soul, it revives and refreshes us. it comforts our hearts, it brings encouragement when needed, and it also brings conviction which is for our ultimate good because it turns us from the error of our ways to God’s righteous paths. God’s Word also brings peace, joy, a renewed hope, wisdom, and discernment.
Some of you may feel that you don’t have time to read the Bible or you may feel a little resistant due to a lack of biblical understanding. Personally, I can relate. I know exactly how you feel. When I started reading over a decade ago, my cousin encouraged me to begin reading in the book of Proverbs and read a chapter per day since there are 31 Proverbs and generally 31 days in a month. I love the book of Proverbs, but it was very challenging to actually sit down and read my Bible since I was distracted by other things. During those times, I had to literally make myself do so. After awhile and remaining determined to be consistent, it became a little easier. Right before the beginning of 2010, I purchased my first one year Bible in order to read God’s Word through the year. Each day and even now, I always begin with a word of prayer by asking God to infuse me with His wisdom, to speak to my heart, and minister to me as I read His Holy Word. Praying beforehand really helps as the Holy Spirit guides me into the truth of the scriptures while giving me an understanding of the biblical passages. I encourage you all to pray before you read, so your heart can be prepared to hear what God has to say to you. Pray and ask God to help you see the personal application in the passages you are reading and then apply it to your life. For example, Philippians 4:6 says “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” Personal application: Instead of worrying and complaining about my problems, I should run to God, earnestly pray to Him while thanking Him in advance for hearing and answering my petitions according to His perfect will regarding my circumstances. With that being said, it’s important to also pray and ask God to prepare your heart to accept His answer for your situations. I’ve learned over the years that God does not always answer my prayers in the way I think He should and I’ve also learned that God sometimes says “No” to certain prayers. This doesn’t sound very encouraging but it’s true and we have to remember that God knows what’s best for each of us. His plans for our lives are far better than our own plans. When He closes a door, do not lose heart, trust that He has something far better in mind or possibly He’s protecting you from something that you can’t see in the moment. Remember, God sees the big picture. Trust Him and believe that He’s working everything out for your good and for His glory.
Having a great bible translation will also enrich your quiet times with our Lord. Currently, I’m using the NKJV version for my daily bible reading. The last two years, I’ve used the NLT which is a great easy to read version. If you are looking for a more simple yet profound read, I highly recommend the NLT (New Living Translation) or the NASB (New American Standard Bible). Along with the New King James, I also carry the NLT and NASB versions in my bible library. However, I’m not sure if the NASB is available in the one one year format. I just have a regular New American Standard Bible. I encourage you ladies to set quality time aside on a daily basis to read God’s Word. Please pray beforehand, read, listen to His voice, and apply the Word to your life. Follow and obey it!
Joshua 1:8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it, for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.
As always, keeping you lovely ladies in my prayers! 🙏🏽💗Blessings to each of you and enjoy what’s left of your summer. Please check back on 09/2️⃣1️⃣/2️⃣1️⃣ for the next set of qualities.
