I hope that you are enjoying your summer! It’s been hot these past few weeks. I’ve been spending a lot of time at the beach. 🌊

Wow! Where has the year gone? It feels like we just celebrated Christmas yesterday and now we are nearing the end of July which brings us to our month of prayer to be God’s Woman – one who is always Focused, Determined, Persevering, and Never Giving Up! 2️⃣1️⃣ is our monthly theme since it’s the year 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣1️⃣. If you are new, we pray on the 2️⃣1️⃣st day of each month. The goal is to pray for 2️⃣1️⃣ qualities over the course of this year. You have the option to choose a time that works best for you. In order to stick with the 2️⃣1️⃣st theme, please choose a timeframe such as 7:2️⃣1️⃣am, 8:2️⃣1️⃣am, 10:2️⃣1️⃣am, 11:2️⃣1️⃣am, 12:2️⃣1️⃣pm, 2:2️⃣1️⃣pm, 3:2️⃣1️⃣pm, 5:2️⃣1️⃣pm, 7:2️⃣1️⃣pm, 9:2️⃣1️⃣pm, 10:2️⃣1️⃣pm, and so forth. These are just several examples. For the length of time, please allow the Holy Spirit to guide you as you pray to God and seek Him.

Today, we will pray for the following qualities, 11 and 12:

Quality #11: Remain Focused on Jesus and serve Him and His people well!

Matthew 20:28 Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.

John 13:13-14 “You call Me Teacher and Lord; and you are right, for so I am. If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.”

Ladies, let’s imitate our Lord and Teacher and serve Him, His bride (the church), our families, friends, and those around us well. We are not perfect, but we can pray and ask God to give us His strength, His compassion, and love to be the kind of servant He desires, one who graciously reflects the heart of His Son, Jesus! We should also serve with a heart of humility and selflessness. Philippians 2:3 says “Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves.” Ladies, prayerfully ask God to give you a servant’s heart. A heart that seeks the will of the Lord, one who looks out for the welfare of others, and puts the needs of others first with compassion and love. Please do not misuse your service to the Lord for self glorification, or to intimidate others. This is not the heart of our Lord. Ask God to give you a humble heart which seeks to bring Him glory and honor while serving Him and those around you. I love this quote by George Herbert: And I will labor to be like my Savior, by making humility lovely in the eyes of all men, and by following the merciful and meek example of my dear Jesus.

1 Corinthians 3:9 For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.

1 Peter 5:5b Clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.

Deuteronomy 13:4 You shall follow the Lord your God and fear Him; and you shall keep His commandments, listen to His voice, serve Him, and cling to Him.

Quality #12: Remain Focused on Jesus and do your job duties as unto the Lord!

Colossians 3:23-24 Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.

Ladies, whether you are a homemaker, caretaker or you are presently employed, conduct your homemaking, caretaking, and job responsibilities unto the Lord. Honor Him as you do these things. Do not take your responsibilities for granted nor perform them poorly. The Lord has entrusted each one of us with certain tasks, so let’s administer them with a joyful attitude as we do them unto Him. Maintain integrity, have an honest heart, and be faithful to the responsibilities God has entrusted to you to oversee. The Lord is watching us and when no one else is looking, El Roi sees. He will reward us accordingly. So let’s homemake, caretake, and do our work in a way that honors and pleases our Lord.

Nehemiah 8:10b The joy of the Lord is your strength.
