Hi Beauties, 😘❤️
Happy June! We are in our fifth month of prayer to be God’s Woman, one who is always Focused, Determined, Persevering, and Never Giving Up! 2️⃣1️⃣ is our monthly theme since it’s the year 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣1️⃣. If you are new, we pray on the 2️⃣1️⃣st day of each month. The goal is to pray for 2️⃣1️⃣ qualities over the course of this year. You have the option to choose a time that works best for you. In order to stick with the 2️⃣1️⃣st theme, please choose a timeframe such as 9:2️⃣1️⃣am, 10:2️⃣1️⃣am, 11:2️⃣1️⃣am, 12:2️⃣1️⃣pm, 2:2️⃣1️⃣pm, 3:2️⃣1️⃣pm, 4:2️⃣1️⃣pm, 7:2️⃣1️⃣pm, 9:2️⃣1️⃣pm, 10:2️⃣1️⃣pm, and so forth. For the length of time, please allow the Holy Spirit to guide you as you pray to God and seek Him.
Today, we will pray for qualities 9 and 10 below:
Quality #9: Be Determined to be an Encourager!
Acts 11:23 (TPT) When he (Barnabas) got there and witnessed for himself God’s marvelous grace, he was enthused and overjoyed. He encouraged the believers to remain faithful and cling to the Lord with passionate hearts.
In this verse, we read how Barnabas encouraged other believers in the Lord. We should emulate his example and encourage our sisters in Christ as well as the rest of the family of God, our own families, and our friends in the Lord. Everyone needs encouragement, so become the Lord’s vessel by reaching out to those around you and to people in your sphere of influence and speak words of encouragement. You can send someone a card, text them a scripture, gently let them know you are praying for them, you can meet up for fellowship, phone someone, and/or bake them a cake or a pie and let them know they are being thought of. These are just a few examples of how to encourage someone. Maybe you are creative in other ways such as knitting or crocheting. Whatever way the Lord leads you to encourage someone, please be intentional in doing so. Diligently encourage them to run their race well and to remain faithful to the Lord to the very end. You may be the only Barnabas in someone’s life.
1 Thessalonians 5:11 (TPT) Because of this, encourage the hearts of your fellow believers and support one another, just as you have already been doing.
Quality #10: Remain Focused and Be Determined to Walk in Holiness!
1 Peter 1:15-16 (TPT) Instead, shape your lives to become like the Holy One who called you. For Scripture says: “You are to be holy, because I am holy.”
Ladies, none of us are perfect and this is not a call to legalism, but a call to walk in the fear of the Lord. In a workbook titled, “Behold Your God” by John Snyder, the author writes, “All holiness in our lifestyle begins in a mysterious internal work of the Holy Spirit which the Bible refers to as the new birth, the new creation, or regeneration. We are given a new nature – a soft heart upon which the Spirit writes the law of God.” (Pg. 104) “Holiness flows out of being brought near God in His love and lovingly walking with Him in obedience from gratitude for what He has done.” (Pg. 105)
Ladies, we are new creations in Christ. Put off the old man and put on the new man.
Ephesians 4:22-24 (NKJV) That you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.
Put off those things that are not pleasing to Christ such as spiritual apathy, envy, jealousy, idolatry, selfish ambitions, fornication, gossip, and discord. Instead, walk in holiness and bear the fruit of the Spirit which is love, joy, peace, kindness, patience, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
As I stated in the beginning, none of us are perfect. The Bible says, “There is none righteous, no, not one.” (Romans 3:10) The exhortation is to consistently walk in holiness; in a way that honors our Lord and Savior. There are times where we will fall short. But we don’t stay there, we repent, we get back up, and prayerfully ask God to strengthen us to walk in true holiness and to be holy as He is holy. He is faithful! Focus and be determined to walk in a spirit of consistent godliness.
Leviticus 20:26 (NLT) You must be holy because I, the Lord, am holy. I have set you apart from all other people to be my very own.
Galatians 5:16 (TPT) As you yield freely and fully to the dynamic life and power of the Holy Spirit, you will abandon the cravings of your self-life.
Galatians 5:25 (TPT) We must live in the Holy Spirit and follow after Him.
Keeping you beauties in my prayers! 🙏🏽💗Blessings to each and everyone of you! Please check back on 07/2️⃣1️⃣/2️⃣1️⃣ for the next set of qualities.
