Happy May and Happy Friday! We are in our 4th month of prayer to be God’s Woman, one who is always Focused, Determined, Persevering, and Never Giving Up! 2️⃣1️⃣ is our monthly theme since it’s the year 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣1️⃣. If you are new, we pray on the 2️⃣1️⃣st day of each month. The goal is to pray for 2️⃣1️⃣ qualities over the course of this year. You have the option to choose a time that works best for you. In order to stick with the 2️⃣1️⃣st theme, please choose a timeframe such as 5:2️⃣1️⃣am, 7:2️⃣1️⃣am, 9:2️⃣1️⃣am, 10:2️⃣1️⃣am, 12:2️⃣1️⃣pm, 2:2️⃣1️⃣pm, 3:2️⃣1️⃣pm, 5:2️⃣1️⃣pm, 7:2️⃣1️⃣pm, 9:2️⃣1️⃣pm, and so forth. For the length of time, please allow the Holy Spirit to guide you as you pray to God and seek Him.

Today, we will pray for qualities 7 and 8 listed below:

Quality #7: Be Determined to be a Woman of Prayer!

Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.

Ladies, cultivate an attitude of persistent prayer. In Mark 6:46, Jesus sent the multitudes away so He can spend time alone with His Father in prayer. Let’s imitate Christ and put away all distractions and spend quality time praying to our Father in Heaven. Let’s actively pray and seek His face while making His will a priority in our daily lives. In order for our prayers to be heard, we need to repent of any unconfessed sins, reconcile if possible, and be honest with God, yourself, and man. God sees and knows everything. Be truthful! We don’t want our prayers to be hindered!

Ladies when you are praying, pray according to God’s perfect will for your life and over your situations. End your prayers by closing, “Lord, let Your perfect will be done.” Then trust God for the outcome. Remember, His answers are either “Yes,” “No,” or “Wait.” Whatever answer He gives, we need to be content and trust that He knows what’s best for each one of us. His thoughts are not our thoughts nor are His ways our ways (Isaiah 55:8).

Pray without ceasing, don’t lose heart, and trust God.

Quality #8: Be Determined to be a Woman of Your Word – Let your Yes Be Yes and your No be No!

Matthew 5:37a But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’

Ladies, don’t make rash decisions nor empty promises. Don’t make decisions based on your emotions. Let your ‘Yes,’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No’ be ‘No.’ Spend time in prayer and ask for wisdom before making any decision. Be a woman of your word, keep it, and do your best to fulfill it. There will be times when the unexpected happens, and maybe, you will not be able to honor your word due to unforeseen circumstances. In times like this, it’s understandable.

Ladies, let’s prayerfully do our part and live up to our word and honor it as best we can.

James 5:12 But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath. But let your “Yes” be “Yes,” and your “No,” “No,” lest you fall into judgment.
