Isaiah 55:8-9 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.”

Many years ago when I rededicated my life back to Christ, I still thought I knew what was best for me. My decisions were based off of my own human reasoning rather than from a biblical perspective. There was no question in regards to my love for God, but fear and a lack of trust in Him caused me to not fully lay all my concerns down at His feet.

As I’ve grown in my walk with the Lord, I’ve learned to accept and embrace His perfect will for my life, trusting and knowing that His ways are always Best. I may not understand everything or why He allows certain things to happen, but I can rest in the assurance of knowing that He will never lead me astray.

John 16:13-15 However, when He, the Spirit of Truth has come, He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

God’s ways are always Best. Whether He says “Yes”, “No”, or “Wait” to a prayer request, I’ve learned to embrace and accept His answer while trusting in Him. Often times we do not like to hear the word “No”. We always want to hear “Yes”. But when God says “No”, do not become upset or question His love for you. Maybe it’s His way of protecting you from something which will bring potential harm or turmoil into your life. We have to remember that God sees the bigger picture, so He knows what’s best for each one of us. Psalm 84:11b is one of my favorite verses. It says, “No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.” James 1:17 says, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.”

The Lord will always give His very best to those who wait on and trust in Him! Our choices may be good, but His choice, His divine plan, and His perfect will for your life and my life will always be for the Best! He’s a Good Good Father and He always gives His best gifts to His children. Nothing or no one can compare to what He has in store for each of us.

His plans for each of our lives are for good and not for disaster to give us a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Wait on the Lord and trust Him with your life. He will never disappoint or lead you astray. He loves you very much and He will always have your best interest. All of His ways are perfect and true.

Psalm 18:30 (NKJV) As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV) Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

Psalm 25:10 (HCSB) All the Lord’s ways show faithful love and truth to those who keep His covenant and decrees.
