Ecclesiastes 3:1 There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven.

I have to say that my favorite time of the year is Summer. I love going to the beach and spending extended periods of time in the water. I love wearing summer dresses, drinking cold ice tea, and enjoying long summer days.

As believers, we all go through different life seasons. I’ve had my fair share. More than ten years ago, I went through a deep depression as I mourned the loss of a relationship. Just a decade ago, my late father became ill and the decision was made to place him in a long term care facility. In the beginning, there was a financial burden as board and care fees are expensive. Coupled with this, I was fearful that my father may experience mistreatment or neglect. In those moments, I had to entrust my father into the hands of Jesus and believe that he would be well taken care of.

There were other difficult seasons that I faced, but I wasn’t alone. The Lord was and is still with me. The Lord came through in each and every one of my tough situations as He still does today. Without Him, I would have never survived. He was faithful in bringing comfort to my heart, imparting His wisdom in stressful situations as well as providing for all of my needs. Our Lord is faithful!

Currently, I’m in a different season of life. The Lord is doing a new thing! He’s refining my character, opening up new doors of opportunities, and restoring back to me what I’ve lost. To God be the Glory!

As we continue on in our faith journey, we will all go through different seasons of life. The good news is that we are not alone. The Lord is with each and everyone of us. He will comfort our hearts in times of loss. He will give us His peace and rest in times of uncertainty. He will calm our anxious thoughts. He will give us His wisdom, direction, and guidance when making decisions as well as providing for all of our needs. Our God is Majestic, Faithful, Eternal, True, Loving, Merciful, Gracious, and Forgiving. He loves you and I more than we know. He’s our Eternal Husband, Savior, Abba Father, Comforter, Counselor, Redeemer, Restorer, Provider, and Protector. He’s the Great I AM!

Whatever life season you are in, I encourage you to cling tightly to the Lord, trust Him, depend solely on Him, and allow Him to carry you through. The Bible says in Psalm 55:22 (NASB), “Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.” Lay your burdens down at His feet and don’t attempt to carry them yourself. This verse gives us the assurance of knowing that the Lord will strengthen us in times of adversity. I’m learning that when I’m in the midst of a storm, the Lord refines and builds my character while deepening my faith and trust in Him. So when the next storm hits, I can look back and see how the Lord has brought me through my prior difficulties and trust and believe that He will do it again in my future circumstances.

Remember, the Lord is with us and He promises to never leave nor forsake us (Hebrews13:5b). He will be with us in every season of life through the good and bad times. He’s a Good Good Father and He’s unchanging.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Cling tightly to Him for He is your Anchor and He will see you through.
