Deuteronomy 6:5
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.
Loving the Lord with all of my heart, soul, and strength means having a deep, unconditional, and committed love for Him. My love for Jesus must far exceed the love of my future godly husband, family, friends, ministries, job, material possessions as well as my own life. So if He chooses to bless me or not or take these things away, my love for Him should always remain, deeply rooted in Him alone. I need to love Jesus for who He is, as the King of kings, the Lord of lords, the Creator of the universe, the Alpha and the Omega, the Bright and Morning Star, the Coming Messiah, God Almighty, the Great I AM, my Redeemer, my Lord and Savior, my Eternal Husband, and much more.
Deeply loving Jesus means to be radically in love with Him, to chase and pursue hard after Him, to let go of my wants and desires, to joyfully embrace His plan and purposes for my life, to rid myself of things that are not pleasing to Him, and to allow Him to transform me from the inside out. As I fall deeply in love with Jesus, my heart will become a reflection of His heart while my life will be found to bring glory, honor, and praise to His holy name.
Jesus loves you with an everlasting love. His love for you cannot be measured by the affection of human standards. It is much deeper, wider, and richer than what any person can give. As your Savior, He desires for your heart to be strongly connected to His, loving Him above everyone and everything else. Give Jesus your whole heart, fall deeply in love with Him, allow Him to use your life for His glory as He transforms you more and more into His image. May your life be a sweet smelling aroma to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Mark 12:30 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.
Jeremiah 31:3 The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.”
