Hi Ladies,
This weekend, I was given another opportunity to share with a group of women about waiting on the Lord. It was an intimate and a rich time of fellowship. It was a mixture of ladies with some single and some married. They had a chance to listen and interact with me about their personal experiences. One of the topics that kept coming up was God’s timing.
God’s timing can not be measured by human logic. It can be difficult to wait on Him. Personally, I’ve struggled in my season of waiting. But I want to encourage you that this is possible with God’s enabling. 2 Corinthians 12:9 says, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” HE will sustain and strengthen us in our time of waiting. We need to constantly keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, fall more in love with Him by reading His Word daily, and remain proactive in doing His kingdom work. Do not become consumed in praying for a husband, or else you will miss out on opportunities to serve the Lord and His people. God hears our prayers and if He has made that promise, He will surely bring it to pass. We can’t rush God’s timing. It’s beyond our control! In speaking with one of the leaders last night, she said something that I already know, but it caused a stirring in my heart. Please forgive me, but I’m paraphrasing what was spoken. She said, “There is purpose in your waiting. God has given you a story to share through your book which has been birth at this stage in your life. The wait is long, but God is going to use it to bless you and your husband as He turns your marriage into a living testimony. Together, you two will encourage others who are also waiting on how the Lord honors those who trust in Him!”
Wait patiently my sweet sisters! Become a Woman After God’s Own Heart! Don’t chase after a man, but chase after the MAN, Christ Jesus! In His time, He will either take you to your husband or He will have you cross his path. And the Lord will reveal, unveil, and show you your gift of a wonderful godly husband.
The following verses continue to minister to my heart in my season of waiting. My prayer is that you will find peace, comfort, and confirmation in them too.
Psalm 84:11b No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.
Ecclesiastes 3:11a He has made everything beautiful in its time.
Psalm 37:7a Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him.
