Proverbs 20:6-7 Most men will proclaim each his own goodness, but who can find a faithful man? The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him.

According to the Noah’s 1828 Dictionary, the word faithful is defined as “Firmly adhering to duty; of true fidelity; loyal; true to allegiance”. When I meditate or think about the word faithful, other synonyms come to mind such as “uprightness in heart”, “loyalty”, “integrity”, “dedicated”, “non-compromising”, “truthfulness”, and “whole hearted devotion”. The word also reminds me of the attributes of God:

F – He is a FORGIVING God.

A – He is ALMIGHTY God.

I – He is INFINITE.

T – He is TRUSTWORTHY.

H – He is HOLY.

F – He is our Good, Good FATHER.

U – His mercy and grace are UNENDING.

L – His LOVE is everlasting.

My continued prayer is for the Lord to bless me with a faithful godly husband who reflects the heart of Jesus. A godly man who is holy, trustworthy, forgiving, gentle, humble, compassionate, and a man who will love me as Christ loves the church until God calls him home. And that his love for me will never grow cold. I pray that it’s constant and unchanging regardless of how he feels or the circumstances surrounding our future relationship and God-ordained marriage.

Ladies, I urge you to pray for a faithful godly husband who reflects the heart of Jesus and someone who is diligently living and abiding by God’s standards. Please pray for a faithful godly husband who will love Jesus more than he loves you:

– Someone who keeps God first in every area of his life;

– Someone who will consistently remain faithful to Jesus as well as you until the very end (Note: If he is faithful to Jesus, he will be faithful to you.);

– Someone who is fully devoted to God and not a compromiser or people pleaser, but someone who will stand up for the truth of God’s Word regardless of what others may say or think;

– Someone who diligently fears and honors God;

– Someone who will love you as Christ loves the church;

– Someone who will be the husband of one woman and not maintain friendships with other women;

– Someone who will love and cherish you as his wife to the very end;

– Pray for a godly husband who has integrity;

– Pray for a godly husband who possesses humility, yet strong at heart;

– Pray for a godly husband who is full of compassion and someone who will always extend forgiveness;

– Pray fervently for the faithful godly husband that God has set aside specifically for you only.

God is faithful and He is more than able to bring you the faithful godly husband He desires you to have. Trust the Lord, wait patiently on Him, and in His perfect timing, He will bless you with your faithful godly husband.

Ephesians 3:20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
