Attribute #12 – God is Good!

Psalm 34:8 Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!

1828 Webster’s Dictionary Definitions of Good: Complete or sufficiently perfect in its kind. Well qualified; able; skillful; or performing duties with skill and fidelity. Kind; benevolent; affectionate.

We serve an Amazing and Faithful God Who is good all the time. He loves His children with an everlasting love and He takes great delight in blessing us even in the smallest details. When everything is going our way, we say that God is good. But when trials come, we sometimes question God’s love for us or we think He’s absent. I want to encourage you that God loves you very much and His love doesn’t change. He’s always with us. The psalmist says in Psalm 139:7, “Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?” In vs 9-10, he says, “If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there Your hand shall lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me.”

It’s hard to see at times, but God is good to us even in our darkest moments. Our trials are not to harm us but instead, to deepen our faith in God, to surrender fully to Him, and to refine our characters. And He promises to give us His peace in the midst of the storms of life and we can rest assure that He will never leave nor forsake us. Our trials are only for a season. We serve a Good God and He’s working all things out for our good and for His glory.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

God is Good all the time and He loves us all. And His plan and His purpose for our individual lives are for good and not for evil to give us a future and a hope! Rest and trust in the goodness of God! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 He’s Faithful and He never changes!

Psalm 145:9 The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works.
