Ruth 2:4-8 While she was there, Boaz arrived from Bethlehem and greeted the harvesters. “The Lord be with you!” he said. “The Lord bless you!” the harvesters replied. Then Boaz asked his foreman, “Who is that young woman over there? Who does she belong to?” And the foreman replied, “She is the young woman from Moab who came back with Naomi. She asked me this morning if she could gather grain behind the harvesters. She has been hard at work ever since, except for a few minutes rest in the shelter.”
Boaz went over and said to Ruth, “Listen, my daughter. Stay right here with us when you gather grain; don’t go to any other fields. Stay right behind the young women working in my field.” (NLT)
I love the biblical story of Ruth and Boaz. It’s a beautiful love story on how the Lord orchestrated events and divinely brought them together. Their story encourages me to wait patiently and expectantly on the Lord for my Boaz while allowing Jesus to write our personal love story.
It’s challenging to wait on God for His best especially when you have been praying for so long. It’s tempting to want to resort to other measures in order to speed up the process. But I encourage you ladies to wait with patient expectation on God trusting He will take you to your own godly husband of promise or vice versa (however He orchestrates it). Psalm 84:11b says, “There is no good thing He will withhold from those who walk uprightly.” Jesus wants to be the Author of your love story. His heart’s desire is to write it Himself.
Ladies, wait on the Lord, and believe that He’s working, preparing, orchestrating, and moving on your behalf in order to bring the promise to pass. Please do not try to manipulate the situation or speed things along. You will only make matters worse. Instead, practice patience and remain content in your season of life. While you are waiting, allow the Lord to work on your character and transform you more and more into a godly and virtuous woman who will be a priceless treasure to her Boaz.❤️ God has made everything beautiful in its time (Ecclesiastes 3:11a). Wait my dear sister. The Lord is faithful and He will fulfill each and every promise in our lives according to His perfect will. ✝️🙌🏽
Ruth 3:10-11 “The Lord bless you my daughter!” Boaz exclaimed. You are showing even more family loyalty now than you did before, for you have not gone after a younger man, whether rich or poor. Now don’t worry about a thing, my daughter. I will do what is necessary, for everyone in town knows you are a virtuous woman. (NLT)
Ruth 4:13a So Boaz took Ruth into his home, and she became his wife. (NLT)
Proverbs 31:10-12 Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies. The heart of her husband safely trusts her; so he will have no lack of gain. She does him good and not evil all the days of her life. (NKJV)
