Proverbs 10:9 He who walks with integrity walks securely, but he who perverts his ways will become known.
According to the 1828 Webster’s Dictionary, Integrity is defined as “The entire, unimpaired state of any thing, particularly of the mind; moral soundness or purity; incorruptness; uprightness, and honesty”. As I mentioned before, I lived a life of immorality before my rededication to Christ. I lied, I gossiped, I partied with my friends, I drank, I used filthy language, and I participated in infidelity on some occasions. These things are nothing to be proud of, if anything, they were an embarrassment to my family as well as myself. I’m ashamed of the lifestyle I once lived. As a result, my reputation was tarnished and I lost the respect and the trust of some of my closest friends. I didn’t fit into the classification of a woman of integrity. My behavior reflected otherwise. However, as a new creation in Christ, God has transformed my life to reflect the heart and the image of His Son Jesus, my wonderful Savior.
Ladies, if you have made poor choices like me, remember God’s grace is sufficient. Please turn to the Lord, repent of your sins, and ask Him to forgive you and He will. He is Faithful!
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
We are all a work in progress and yes, we will fall short at times because none of us are perfect.
Romans 3:10 As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one”.
Ladies, you can still make a strong effort to live a life that is well pleasing to the Lord! Be a woman of integrity and be honest in all your ways. When you fall short, be humble enough to admit your shortcomings, apologize if need be, and turn from that behavior. If someone brings something to your attention, do not become defensive; instead, listen carefully, be sensitive, and ask the Holy Spirit to search your heart and give you wisdom in the situation. If it is true what they are saying, accept responsibility for your actions, humbly apologize if you have the opportunity to do so and ask God to help you not to fall in that area again.
The Lord sees all and hears all. Whatever we sow, we will reap also.
Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
Luke 8:17 For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light.
As daughters of the Most High King, we should all conduct ourselves in a godly manner which is pleasing to the Lord. It’s easy to get complacent and be filled with roots of pride, but the Lord calls each of us to a higher standard which encompasses:
Being the hands and feet of Jesus,
Remaining humble, gracious, and kind in all our ways,
Humbly serving Him and His people,
Staying submissive and obedient to Him at all times,
Not rationalizing or justifying our sins, and
Being a loving, humble, and compassionate shepherdess to the flock He has entrusted to us.
Ladies, stand firm in the Lord, don’t compromise, and be a woman of character reflecting the upmost integrity. The Lord will reward you for your faithfulness!
Proverbs 14:2 He who walks in his uprightness fears the Lord, but he who is perverse in his ways despises Him.
Psalm 11:7 For the Lord is righteous, He loves righteousness; His countenance beholds the upright.
